This new comprehensive AAPS online training course was developed for those interested in learning more about the innovative technologies and translational sciences to streamline drug discovery, development, and therapeutics. The promise and potential of this field is reflected in several initiatives, including new NIH institutes and peer-reviewed journals. This eCourse provides an introduction to the field of translational sciences to pharmaceutical scientists through state-of-the-art lectures on the basic principles and case studies in which these technologies are applied to improve the efficiency of bringing new drugs to patients.

The lectures:
Provide an overview of translational sciences,
Review applications of translational sciences that improve drug discovery, development, and therapeutic applications, with a focus on transitions within phases of development,
Describe effective approaches to managing the innovations of translational sciences in the context of the emerging landscape of the pharmaceutical industry.
